Panasonic's AG-DVC30 arrived in 2004 as a compact professional MiniDV camera, built to the same pro standards as its bigger sibling, the AG-DVX100. Three 1/4" CCDs split color the way broadcast cameras do, behind a 16x Leica Dicomar zoom, with full manual control, zebras and color bars on board. Panasonic billed it as the first 3CCD camera to record in total darkness using infrared light: one press of the SNS button switches to black and white, lit by the camera's own IR lamp.
